Honey 1.0 · Android
Ask a question and you get an answer. Ask about something on the shelf and the same thread turns into product cards, a basket and a checkout, without opening another app.

What it does
OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, Groq, OpenRouter, Ollama or your own server. Switch provider mid-thread and keep the history.
Dictate or record. Replies are spoken by the system voice, Whisper or Deepgram. Hands-free mode runs the whole loop and stops when you interrupt.
The shelf is read live from the merchant's MCP server, so price and stock match the store. Cards carry an add button and the basket stays in the thread.
A monthly limit, a per-purchase cap and a freeze switch, checked before the payment sheet opens. Biometrics sign a device-bound consent that the backend verifies. The wallet keeps the brand, last four digits and a receipt, never the card number.
Inside the app
Hands-free
Hold the honey button and the composer folds into a small voice bar. Honey listens, answers, reads the reply out loud, then opens the microphone again. Talk over it and playback stops mid-sentence.
Privacy
Honey has no account system, no analytics SDK and no ad SDK. What it stores, it encrypts, and what it sends goes only to the provider you chose.
API keys and OAuth tokens sit in AES-256-GCM encrypted preferences behind an Android Keystore master key.
Chats live in a SQLCipher database. The passphrase is generated on the device and never leaves it.
Optional unlock and payment approval through an AndroidX Biometric prompt with a Keystore crypto object.
The vault and the database are excluded from Google backup and from device transfer. A new phone starts clean.

Questions
No. Paste a provider key or point Honey at a local server and start typing. There is no sign-up screen, and nothing about your usage is sent anywhere except the provider you configured.
Anything that speaks the OpenAI chat completions API, plus native Anthropic, Gemini and Azure OpenAI clients. Twelve providers are listed in the app, and the list is editable.
Not for the app. Model usage is billed by whichever provider you connect, at their rates. Payments in the shop run against the merchant's Stripe test backend in this build, so no real money moves.
It is written to a SQLCipher database on the phone. Each request sends the recent turns that fit the model's context window to the provider you chose. Lines about the shop go to the merchant's server instead, so it can price the shelf. Delete the app and the data goes with it.
No. Honey is built on Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, and the voice loop leans on Android's speech recogniser.
